Editorial Policy

How Avatar Legends Wiki researches, labels, updates, and corrects its guides.

Last updated: 2026-07-28

Purpose

Our editorial goal is to help a player make a reliable next decision: understand a control, choose a fighter, practice a route, interpret a community ranking, or confirm platform availability.

Source Priority

We prefer sources in this order:

  1. Current in-game information, official patch notes, developer statements, and official storefronts.
  2. Reproducible training-mode observations that identify the game version and conditions.
  3. Established fighting-game community references and discussions.
  4. Editorial inference, clearly labeled as interpretation rather than fact.

Community popularity does not turn a claim into an official fact. Search ranking does not count as evidence.

Version-Sensitive Content

Combo routes, damage, frame data, tier placement, platform availability, and online features can change. These pages display a check date or snapshot label. A future update should record what moved, when it moved, and why.

A combo record should identify its fighter, starter, position, resource cost, difficulty, patch, and reproduction status. Until those fields are known, example notation remains an educational example rather than a verified character route.

Originality

Guides are written as original explanations and learning paths. External material is used to verify facts or represent community discussion, not to republish another article. We do not copy official key art, game files, long passages, or another guide’s tables.

Research and drafting tools may assist with organizing material, but pages are expected to be reviewed against cited or reproducible evidence before publication. Automatically generated claims are not treated as evidence.

Rankings and Commercial Independence

Tier lists are editorial snapshots with visible confidence labels. Advertising, affiliate relationships, sponsorships, or publisher access do not purchase a ranking or favorable coverage. If a commercial relationship affects a page, it should be disclosed near that content.

Corrections

Corrections should preserve the reason for a material change when practical. To report an issue, email support@avatarlegends.wiki with the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting evidence.

Rights and Attribution

Game titles, character names, trademarks, and related properties belong to their respective owners. This site is independent and unofficial. Rights concerns can be submitted through the Contact page.
