Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Combos

A useful combo is more than an input string: it names the starter, resources, position, difficulty, and patch. Build a short reliable BnB before adding Flow for reward.

First, read this notation

5A, 5B, 5C xx 236A

It reads: standing Light into Medium into Heavy, cancelled into quarter-circle-forward Light. Community and in-game material commonly use A/B/C/F; older pages here also use L/M/H/F. Both map to Light, Medium, Heavy, and Flow. This teaches notation; it is not a claim that every fighter has this exact true combo.

Start from the fighter and support conditions

9 launch fighters now have dedicated lab pages, with 11 structured route records across the first four data-rich guides. Every route keeps its original source, and nothing becomes wiki-verified without a reproduction record.

A universal Avatar Legends combo skeleton

1

Confirm

See the fast hit connect

2

Route

Enter a stable mid-combo route

3

Flow

Move, cancel, or extend

4

Ender

Choose damage, knockdown, or position

Change one layer at a time. Make confirm-to-ender automatic before adding a single Flow extension. Train for conversion rate, not maximum training-mode length.

A 20-minute BnB drill

  1. Turn on input display and attack data.
  2. Chunk it: ten starters, ten routes, ten enders.
  3. Run ten full attempts and note the exact drop point.
  4. Switch sides and land five on each.
  5. Test guard and counter-hit settings so a fake route does not survive.

When to add Flow

Flow is not an obligation to make every combo longer. It lets you choose among damage, position, resources, and stability. Keep one meterless route and one resource route for when the reward closes the round.

Keep three routes

Meterless midscreen, reliable corner, and resource kill route. Optimize everything else after these are stable.

The example row shows the schema, not a playable route. Damage and frame data are added only when reproducible and sourced.

Launch-period character demonstrations: how to use them

These current character-specific videos are useful for identifying route structures and practice goals. They are external demonstrations, not a combo database reproduced move by move by this wiki. Record the publish date, starter, resources, position, support fighter, and patch, then reproduce the route in your own Training Mode.

Always dropping at the same point?

  • Too fast: wait for the cancellable window.
  • Too slow: buffer the direction during hitstop.
  • Wrong spacing: record whether the starter is point-blank or max range.
  • Different fighter or support variation: never assume a route transfers across a loadout.
  • Patch drift: check the patch and publish date first.
